To find out how we can help, use the link below to book a free initial phone consultation.
At the heart of all therapies is a joint understanding of your difficulties, which you and your psychologist will develop about how your difficulties have developed and what is contributing to them now. By understanding these things, your therapist can help you to change patterns of thinking and behaviour that may be contributing to your difficulties.
We provide a range of psychological therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Eye Movement and Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness based approaches and approaches based on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
We will discuss with you what the different types of therapy are and which are most likely to be helpful for you at your first appointment.
Workplace Wellbeing Initiatives We can provide workplace wellbeing initiatives tailored to your business needs. Please get in touch with us on email@example.com if you feel your business would benefit from increasing mental health awareness and support.
Our highly trained clinicians also offer clinical supervision to other therapists looking to maintain or develop their therapy skills. Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer immediate or crisis support. If you feel that you need urgent help or at risk of harming yourself, please contact your GP in the first instance or NHS 24 on 111.
Other services that may be able to offer support include the Samaritans and Breathing Space.
Samaritans is available 24 hours a day on 116 123.
Breathing Space is open weekdays Mon- Thursday, 6pm - 2am and Weekends Friday 6pm - Monday 6am on 0800 838587
Shout is a text helpline that is open 24 hours a day on 85258
What to expect
The initial appointment is about understanding your difficulties better and you will be asked questions about your current difficulties and relevant life experiences. You shall have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and to discuss what you would like to get out of therapy. Further appointments will be about developing a shared understanding of how your difficulties may have developed and what may be keeping them going.
